Our home fixture at Madejski Stadium against current league leaders Sheffield United on Saturday 8th December has been moved to a 5.30pm kick-off in order to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
The Blades are flying high in the Sky Bet Championship at present – their 1-0 win against Hull City on Saturday was their fourth consecutive victory, and kept them at the summit of the table.
We can’t hide from the fact that Sheffield United have enjoyed their visits to RG2 in the last few years. They have visited four times in the past decade, and they’ve won on every occasion… in fact, a Reading connection has netted on every occasion for the Blades!
Former Royals Brian Howard, Darius Henderson and Billy Sharp each found the net, as did Stephen Quinn in 2009, prior to joining Reading.
But we’ll be aiming to turn around that run of results against our South Yorkshire opponents as we host them in front of the Sky cameras for the tea-time kick-off!
Overseas supporters should be made aware that this game will not be available to stream live on iFollow. Instead, please check your local listings to see what TV station will be broadcasting the fixture in your country. Alternatively, as always audio commentary will be available via iFollow.
In addition, our fixture away at Leeds United on Tuesday 27th November (kick-off 7.45pm) has also been selected for live broadcast on Sky Sports, although the date and time of kick-off remains the same. For more information about that change, click here.
