Reading FC Women’s home fixtures in FA WSL against West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion have both been moved to Madejski Stadium – allowing our fans to see our side in action at the home of the Royals!
The first of those two fixtures comes against the Hammers on Wednesday 20th February 2019, kicking off under the floodlights at 7.30pm in RG2. Our away game at West Ham, which comes in less than a fortnight from now, will be the Hammers’ first league fixture in the top flight – they finished 7th in the FA Women's National League South last season but were granted a license to step up to the top tier.
And then, precisely two months later, it’s a Madejski Stadium match against Brighton & Hove Albion; that’s a 1pm kick-off on Saturday 20th April 2019. The Seagulls are also in their inaugural top-tier season; they finished runners-up in FA WSL2 last year to take a place in the 11-team league.
We have enjoyed some fantastic support when our Women’s team have come to Madejski Stadium. A crowd of 2,248 for our Continental Cup game against London Bees last season was a record attendance for the competition!
And hopefully our girls will still be in a rich vein of form in the new year. Our league campaign begins at home at Adams Park against Yeovil this Sunday 9th September, and our first two games against Durham and Manchester United in the Continental Cup have both ended victoriously.
Tickets for this fixture will be priced at £6 Adults and £3 Concessions/Children, with Family Tickets (2 Adults, 3 Children) just £12.
