Women hoping to give Birmingham the blues

One win, one Birmingham come to Adams Park

21 September 2018

Next up for Kelly Chambers' Reading FC Women side are Birmingham City who travel to Adams Park to take on a Royals outfit who remain unbeaten in the Women's Super League this season.

The men have already recorded a victory against the Blues, coming out on top in a Carabao Cup clash against Garry Monk's side last month. But on Sunday 23rd September, our women will be locking horns with City at Adams Park in the FA WSL, kick off 2pm.

Chambers' side opened up their top tier campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 home win over Yeovil Town Ladies before travelling to West Ham to earn a point with a goalless result at the Rush Green Stadium.

And in the Continental Cup, the Royals have undone Durham and Manchester United before falling to their one and only defeat in 2018-19 to date - losing against Everton in a very close encounter last weekend.

Birmingham City Women meanwhile picked up a 1-0 win in midweek, beating Brighton on Wednesday night. And they have not dropped a point in the WSL so far, beating Everton in their opening day fixture to go into Sunday's game in second place in the league - behind Arsenal on goal difference.

So head to Adams Park on Sunday and see if the Royals can make a dent in the Blues' unblemished record so far!
