FULL-TIME | Bristol City 1-1 Reading

Yakou Meite had the Royals ahead early in the second half, but Josh Brownhill's header gives the Robins a share of the points.

Four added minutes. McCleary's cross from the byline sees Baker and Oliveira both attack it at the far post but neither can make a clean contact.

Subs Oliveira and McCleary combine on the breakaway - the Jamaican cuts infield and plays a reverse towards the Portuguese forward, who hestitates momentarily before striking wide of the near post.

Reading coming on strong and looking for a winner.

Martínez launches up to Baker, who holds up on the byline... crosses for McCleary but it's behind for a corner. Reading circulate well before Oliveira's low delivery is hacked away...

All changes made for Reading, as Garath McCleary replaces Mo Barrow. Seven minutes plus stoppage time to go.

Reading's three centre-halves all being called upon to put their bodies on the line; Moore, Miazga and McIntyre all making crucial clearances.

Third and final Robins substitution - Matty Taylor on for Andreas Weimann.

Straight after the Robins get level, Reading make their second change. Tom McIntyre replaces Ovie Ejaria in a reshuffle which sees Andy Yiadom slot into midfield.

Goal - 1-1.

Josh Brownhill meets Eliasson's cross at the far post, heading in from point-blank range. Gutting for Reading; all square again.

Midway through the second half; frustration seeping in around Ashton Gate, as a series of crosses are nowhere near their intended target - either into Martínez's arms or out behind. Reading happy to see the clock ticking down.

First Royals sub - off comes Yakou Meite, on comes Nélson Oliveira. Good shift by the Ivorian forward and a well-taken goal, so a like-for-like change to give fresh legs up top.

Second sub for the hosts; Bailey Wright comes off, replaced by Niclas Eliasson. Reshuffle in formation for the Robins.

Almost a chance for a second for Reading and Meite; Ejaria's ball towards the forward is completely missed by Robins skipper Bailey Wright as he tries to cut it out, but goalkeeper O'Leary reads the situation and scampers off his line to get there before the Ivorian.

City have come out fighting after going a goal down, but the Royals' defence are digging in well and closing the angles. Walsh finds Diedhiou in the area but he can't get enough power or direction onto his header under pressure; an easy take for Martínez.

GOAL! Yakou Meite makes it 1-0!

Wonderfully worked free-kick - Baker into Ejaria, round the corner for Rinomhota on the byline, and the low cross is converted by Meite!

A Robins corner is cleared as far as Marlon Pack; a well-struck shot ricochets through a crowd, but Martínez adjusts well to save at his near post.

The second half is underway - Ovie Ejaria takes the kick-off for Reading.

We're shooting towards a 2,000-strong away following in the Atyeo Stand.

HALF-TIME | Bristol City 0-0 Reading

No goals at the break; the best chance of the half went the Robins' way, but Miazga made a crucial goal-line clearance.

Five added minutes at the end of a first half which is goalless so far - owing to the lengthy stoppage which saw Korey Smith stretchered off.

Bit of a mix-up on half-way between Andy Rinomhota and Andy Yiadom; they impede each other, allowing Weimann to pinch possession and drive down the left. Mercifully for the Royals, he drags his shot past the far post from an acute angle.

Miazga clears a Bristol City cross into the car park.

It was Dasilva who ghosted into space on the left and took down a diagonal ball - the USA international took no chances as the low cross came in, and smashed his clearance over the stand.

Diedhiou again causes chaos with his presence in the area; he swings his left leg at a delivery from out wide, but hooks his shot around the post.

Bombing down the left wing is... Liam Moore?! The centre-half makes an impromptu run down the flank and gets fed by Tyler Blackett... his low cross picks out Barrow, but it's narrowly out of reach for him to make a clean contact, and the chance passes.

Off the line by Miazga!

A quick breakaway and sub Liam Walsh bends a shot at goal - it's past Martínez, but his centre-half teammate is positioned perfectly to head clear under the crossbar.

On the follow-up, Jack Hunt smashes a volley narrowly past the far post. It remains goalless.

The first change of the game is enforced; Smith's injury means Liam Walsh will join the action.

Worrying scenes for a player on each team.

Both Ovie Ejaria and Korey Smith both have eyes for the ball, but collide heavily. Ejaria caught in the face, while it looks like Smith will have to be stretchered off - possibly a knee or ankle.

Skipper Liam Moore getting in on an attack.

Opportunity for Reading; they can't make it count. Smith was caught on the ball again - this time by Baker - and Barrow stabbed a pass into the path of Meite, who broke clear.

Smith tracked back well on the recovery and forced an early shot from the Royals forward; it is tamely into the goalkeeper's arms.

Great positioning by Matt Miazga to deny the home side. Left-back Jay Dasilva bombed on and dinked in an early cross which Diedhiou stooped to direct at goal; the Reading defender blocked behind.

Golden opportunity to open the scoring for Reading!

Korey Smith caught in possession by Ovie Ejaria, who burst upfield; Marlon Pack makes a recovery tackle, and then Yakou Meite forces an acrobatic save from Max O'Leary as the ball breaks loose!

At the other end, Reading have their first chance.

Gunter's deflected cross earns a corner; Barrow's delivery is half cleared, but then Meite picks up on the far side and sends in a delivery. Centre-half Moore is still forward and meets it first, but heads over the bar under pressure.

Gunter concedes a free-kick on the Royals right, blocking off a run.

Brownhill delivers inswinging, and Jack Hunt glances a header towards the far post - but Emi Martínez plucks it out the air casually. Good positioning.

Early chance for Josh Brownhill for the hosts. Hurly-burly forward Famara Diedhiou uses his strength well and pops a ball square for Brownhill, who plucks out of the air and strikes from the edge of the area. A characteristic block by skipper Liam Moore.

Kick-off - Andreas Weimann gets the ball rolling and the game is underway at Ashton Gate.

Lots of noise coming from the 2,000 Royals supporters packed into the away end.

The teams are out of the tunnel - handshakes, coin toss to follow before we get going.

We are the early kick-off today; a chance to set the pace and potentially go seven points clear of the drop-zone before the likes of Rotherham and Wigan kick off at 3pm; Millwall also begin early, at 1pm.

The view from the press area.

Less than 20 minutes until the action is underway at Ashton Gate...
