Baker | “Full focus on Norwich”

Midfielder previews visit to Carrow Road

9 April 2019

We’re off to Carrow Road on Wednesday – a tough game indeed against the team that are currently seven points clear at the summit of the Sky Bet Championship.

With half a dozen matches left, Lewis Baker knows the importance of going game-to-game – so the first target is to try and return from Norfolk with more points on the board.

“We’ll head back into training and really get ready for Norwich, because it’s going to be a tough game,” Baker explained.

“For these final few games in the run-in, we’ll need everyone – that includes our fans.

“We have nothing to lose there – but on the other side of that, we have to try and get a result. As the table sits right now, there are such small margins. So we’ll try to get something out of it.

“There aren’t easy games in the Championship – but now, they are all massive. We have to take it game by game. If you think too far ahead, that’s when you can see complacency. So the main focus is on Norwich.

“We can’t focus on any other results – we have to focus on what we do against Norwich on Wednesday.

“With the squad we have, we will be out of this by the end of the season. Everyone is close on points so we need to keep going, keep giving 100% in each game and stay focused and ready for the next challenge.”
