Reading FC’s fixture list for the 2019-20 campaign will be released at 9am sharp on Thursday 20th June.
The annual fixture release day holds a great deal significance for all supporters – a chance to plot out those away days for the coming season, discover who our festive opponents will be, and who provides the opposition on the opening weekend.
Of course, there are twists and turns ahead yet, and places to be decided in all three of the EFL’s divisions. We’re four points clear of the drop as things stands with four games remaining, so there is still work to be done by José Gomes and the Royals before we can plan for another year in the Championship.
But it’s a date to add to the diary for the time being as anticipation begins to build for a brand new campaign.
The opening day of fixtures for the EFL’s three divisions is Saturday 3rd August (with a Friday-night launch game likely to take place), while the First Round of the Carabao Cup will be contested on the week commencing 12th August.
