Oliver Langford will take charge of our Good Friday meeting away at Bristol City.
We have had mixed fortunes in our three fixtures which he has overseen so far this season. In our first outing, two goals for Jón Daði Böðvarsson had the Royals ahead away at Blackburn Rovers, but the official twice pointed to the spot at Ewood Park and Charlie Mulgrew dispatched two spot-kicks to share the points back in August.
The Royals also took a point away from another trip to Lancashire – a goalless draw at Wigan Athletic in November – before earning a 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest in January, where Mr Langford dismissed visiting pair Daniel Fox and Tendayi Darikwa for their indiscretions.
The Robins have had two games taken charge by the Midlands-based official this campaign – both defeats to nil. Firstly a 2-0 reverse at home against Middlesbrough, and then a 1-0 loss in Wigan.
By coincidence, Langford was also the man in the middle when we visited Ashton Gate last season; that ended in disappointment for the Royals, as the hosts were 2-0 victors on Boxing Day.
Assistants for the afternoon will be Adam Crysell and Graham Kane, while fourth official will be James Linington.
