Rinomhota looking to maintain home run against Brentford

Midfielder on Bees test

12 April 2019

Reading’s recent upturn in form has owed a lot to improved home form at Madejski Stadium – and our loyal supporters will attest that the atmosphere has been nothing short of fantastic in RG2 in recent months.

Four wins from our last seven Madejski outings have been vital in getting out of the relegation places. And Andy Rinomhota, whose stunning goal in Norwich earned us an excellent point on the road, is keen that we capitalise on home advantage again on Saturday.

“It’s a quick turnaround into Saturday, but we’ll go into the game feeling the same way – we’ll try and play our own game,” Rinomhota said.

“We have been in good form at home recently, so we’ll look to take that into the Brentford game – and hopefully get the three points.

“Brentford are a good side, but we’ve doing well at home and that will be at the back of our minds. We know what we’re capable of, both at home and away, and we’ll go in with the right attitude – positive and looking for the three points.

“Hopefully getting a point against the league leaders will give us a bit of momentum to take into the next game, and give us another boost.

“We can take a lot of positives from that game against Norwich into the next game – we were defensively sound for the most part, and we’ll take those positives back to Madejski Stadium.”
