Team news | Loader and Baldock start at Boro

Four changes for weekend clash on Teesside

27 April 2019

José Gomes has named four changes to his line-up from Easter Monday's draw against West Brom, with Middlesbrough up next on Saturday.

Yakou Méïté, Nélson Oliveira, Tyler Blackett and Mo Barrow are all out of the squad on Saturday, with Danny Loader, Sam Baldock, Garath McCleary and Chris Gunter all coming into the starting line-up.

Six Academy graduates are in the squad, too, with Michael Olise named among the substitutes alongside Tom McIntyre, Josh Barrett and Liam Kelly.

Due to the maximum loan quota in a matchday squad, Saeid Ezatolahi had not been able to be involved in the squad following his recovery from long-term injury. He's available today in Oliveira's absence, however, and is on the bench for the Royals.

Middlesbrough: Randolph, Shotton, Flint, Saville, Wing, Besic, Mikel (c), Howson, McNair, Assombalonga, Fletcher.
Subs: Konstantopoulos, Clayton, Hugill, Downing, Wood, Tavernier, Gestede.

Reading: Martínez, Yiadom, Gunter, Miazga, Moore (c), Baker, Rinomhota, Ejaria, McCleary, Loader, Baldock.
Subs: Walker, Harriott, Ezatolahi, Kelly, Barrett, McIntyre, Olise.
