Following this evening’s victory over Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park, the Royals have been drawn away to face Plymouth Argyle in the Second Round of the Carabao Cup.
Reading progressed in the competition courtesy of a 4-2 penalty shootout victory at Adams Park this evening and went into the hat as ball no.16 following the final whistle.
George Puscas scored his first goal in Reading colours to equalise against the Chairboys, after Alex Samuel had put the hosts ahead early in the second half.
And the draw, hosted by Sky Sports presenter Laura Woods, was conducted following the conclusion of Salford City’s Round One clash with Leeds United, pitting the Royals against the Pilgrims.
Full date, kick-off time and ticket details for the tie will be announced in due course. However, all Second Round ties will be played week commencing 26th August with selected matches available live on Sky Sports.
