Team news | Three new signings start for Royals

Several Reading debutants to take to the pitch at the KCOM

10 August 2019

Lucas João, Lucas Boyé and Pelé all come straight into the starting line-up for the Royals after joining the club, as several debutants get the nod against Hull City on Saturday afternoon.

The back five for the Royals remains unchanged from last week's opener against Sheffield Wednesday, as João Virgínia starts in goal, with a back four of Andy Yiadom, Liam Moore, Matt Miazga and Omar Richards in front of him.

After scoring for the Owls last time out, Lucas João will lead the line as a Royal this time around at the KCOM, with Yakou Méïté, Boyé and John Swift behind him.

Fellow newbie, George Puscas will be available from the bench for Reading for the first time, after arriving from Inter Milan earlier in the week.

Hull City: Long, Lichaj (c), De Wijs, Burke, Kingsley, Stewart, Batty, Bowen, Grosicki, Irvine, Eaves.
Subs: Ingram, Tafazolli, Toral, Dicko, Honeyman, Bowler, Pennington.

Reading: Virgínia, Yiadom, Moore (c), Miazga, Richards, Pelé, Rinomhota, Swift, Boyé, Méïté, João.
