Reading FC Women are very pleased to announce the signing of Dutch forward Maxime Bennink, who joins the Royals from PEC Zwolle on a one-year deal.
A youth international forward for the Netherlands, she becomes the latest addition to our women’s team this summer.
Manager Kelly Chambers said, “Maxime is a player that was brought to my attention and after watching her, I knew she would definitely fit in and strengthen my squad.
“She is very young, direct forward player who will give me different dimension in my front line. I am excited to get working with her.”
The Groenlo-born forward spent the last three seasons in the Eredivisie with PEC Zwolle, most recently finishing fifth in the Dutch top tier in 2018-19.
Prior to her move to Zwolle, Bennink had risen through the youth ranks at FC Twente and played twice for the senior side in their title-winning feats in 2016.
And now the Under-23 international links up with Chambers’ squad ahead of their pre-season visit to Spain, where they will face Valencia in a friendly fixture as part of their prep for the new FA WSL campaign.
