The Royals will host Blackpool in the Third Round of this season's Emirates FA Cup.
Last season, the Royals' run ended at this stage with a 2-0 away defeat at Old Trafford, as Premier League giants Manchester United overcame a spirited Reading side on the day.
Now, Mark Bowen's side will pit their wits against the League One side in the hope of making it through to the Fourth Round of England's oldest and most prestigious knockout competition - won by Manchester City last season as they trounced Watford to lift the trophy at Wembley.
The teams last met at Madejski Stadium when both sides were in the Championship, with the Royals overcoming Blackpool with a 3-0 win back in 2014, with Glenn Murray and Nick Blackman on target either side of an own goal from Peter Clarke.
Today, the FA announced that every match in the Third Round will kick off one minute later than usual, to highlight the 'Heads Up' campaign, which aims to encourage supporters to 'Take A Minute' to talk about mental health. To find out more about the initiative, click here.
The match is set to take place in the first weekend of January (3rd-6th), with full arrangements and kick-off time to be confirmed by the club in due course.
