Apologies, this video is unvailable.

Defender Teddy Howe paid a visit to one of the festive Community Trust soccer schools this week, to take part in all the fun activities and games planned for the afternoon.

For some of the participants, playing football over the Christmas break was enough of a treat - but when a young Royals first-team player made an appearance, excitement levels rose for the kids taking part in the session.

This week, Reading Football Club's Community Trust hosted a two-day Soccer School over the Christmas break at the Indoor Training Dome at Madejski Stadium, giving that much needed last-minute shopping opportunity to the parents.

But after first-team training on Monday, less than 48 hours before the big day, Teddy popped in to surprise some of the budding young footballers and even took part in some of the small-sided games being played.

The kids also got the opportunity to grill Teddy in a Q&A session and they asked all the burning questions everyone wants to know about being a professional footballer.

Have a little watch of the video here and see what happened during the festive session.
