Team news | Blackett, McCleary and Swift in to start

The Royals side to tackle the Millers

23 February 2019

José Gomes has made three changes to his starting XI for this week’s fixture – Tyler Blackett, Garath McCleary and John Swift have all been included.

Swift and McCleary were both used from the bench at Bramall Lane a week ago, while Blackett missed out with a hamstring problem, but all three are named as starters.

It also marks a 100th appearance in Reading colours for Swift - his start takes him up to a ton of games as a Royal.

There is also a recall into the matchday squad for Danny Loader, who returns to contention on the bench. Irish defensive duo Paul McShane and John O'Shea are also available from the bench again.

Reading: Martínez, Yiadom, Blackett, Moore (c), Miazga, Baker, Swift, Ejaria, Méïté, McCleary, Oliveira.
Subs: Walker, Gunter, O’Shea, McShane, Harriott, Barrow, Loader.

Rotherham United: Rodak, Mattock, Vaulks (c), Ajayi, Forde, Taylor, Towell, Robertson, Ihiekwe, Smith, Jones.
Subs: Price, Vyner, Wood, Crooks, Yates, Newell, Williams.
