It's going to be another important game on Saturday for the Royals, with Forest coming to town...

José pleased to add talent to the ranks

Reading vs Nottingham Forest
Saturday 12th January
3pm kick-off
Madejski Stadium
Sky Bet Championship

José Gomes has taken a full week of training for the first time since joining the Royals in the throes of the busy festive fixture schedule.

Having had time to get to know the players a bit better and instil his ideas further this week, the squad has been bolstered with the arrivals of Ovie Ejaria and Lewis Baker - who are both eligible to make their Reading debuts this weekend.

Gomes also revealed in his pre-match press conference that both Jón Daði Böðvarsson and Tiago Ilori have been back in training, and could play a part this weekend.

The suspensions of Tyler Blackett and Leandro Bacuna have also ended, so this will offer the Reading boss plenty of options from which to choose for the arrival of Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Aitor Karanka's side have recently slipped outside the Play-Off places in the Championship table, sitting four points behind arch-rivals, sixth-placed Derby County.

However, their last Championship encounter saw them emerge victorious in a 4-2 thriller against league leaders, Leeds United. Forest took on Chelsea last weekend in the Emirates FA Cup, falling to the same 2-0 scoreline which defeated the Royals at Old Trafford last Saturday.

That win at home to Leeds has been their only victory in their last seven matches, while a win for the Royals would pull them closer to moving out of the Championship's bottom three.

As always, there will be plenty going on around Madejski Stadium ahead of Saturday's game, so arrive early, soak up the pre-match atmosphere and back the boys this weekend!

What's on

The January Sale is currently on in our Megastore - whereby you can get 50% off on selected retail!

Head in store on matchday to check out the very latest offers.

Also, if you come to the game early, we'll be showing the early kick-off on the big screen in our Fan Zone - with West Ham United taking on Arsenal in the Premier League from 12.30pm.

The Fan Zone is an ideal place to take in the pre-match atmosphere at Madejski Stadium. Thanks to our Official Pouring Rights Partner, Heineken, fans can pick up a beverage at the new location, which is named after the former Elm Park hotspot, with the area around the bar decked out in images of former and current Royals stars.

Also in the Fan Zone is Bill's Coffee - look out for the trailer and grab a bean-to-cup coffee to warm you up before the action gets going inside the ground.

Heineken will be joined at the Fan Zone by West Berkshire Brewery, our local ale partner, who will be serving their famous “Good Old Boy” once again at Madejski Stadium.

Adult tickets start from only £20 at Madejski Stadium for Members, so make sure you're here to back the boys on Saturday!
