FULL-TIME | Bolton Wanderers 1-1 Reading

The Royals have victory snatched away at the death as Jack Hobbs' header cancels out Nélson Oliveira's debut goal from the penalty spot.

Goal - in stoppage time, Bolton grab a leveller.

Absolutely gutting for the Royals as Hobbs gets a powerful header in a crowded area.

Five added minutes to play...

Final Reading sub - Danny Loader replaces goalscorer Nelson Oliveira for the final 30 seconds, plus stoppage time.

Penultimate minute of the 90 and the Royals looking to grab a second to sew things up - but defending sternly too.

Andy Yiadom putting in a busy shift for the Royals.

Tyler Blackett replaces John Swift.  He goes to left-back, Yiadom comes to the right, and Rinomhota is back in midfield again.

More nice build-up down the left as McCleary feeds Barrow - Swift runs into traffic but still finds some room to shoot. Over the bar, however.

Third and final Bolton change.  Josh Magennis comes on in place of Pawel Olkowski - another big body is added to the Trotters' attack.

Bolton put the ball in the net through Buckley, but the assistant had long since raised his flag for offside as Ameobi flicked through in the box.

1-0 to the Royals!

Nelson Oliveira smashes in hard and low from 12 yards and puts the Royals ahead, with 15 minutes left to play!

PENALTY! McCleary fouled in the Bolton box... Oliveira steps up to take it...

Second Bolton sub as Joe Pritchard comes on to replace Luca Connell - not a popular decision with the home crowd.

A stunning effort by Clayton Donaldson, and it needs a brilliant stop by Martinez!  From a wide angle it looked destined for the net but the Royals man keeps it out.

The Royals are using the ball well and fizzing the passes around - a ball spread to the left for McCleary sees the winger find Bacuna, before Oliveira's shot is gathered by the goalkeeper.

First change for Bolton as Craig Noone comes off for Will Buckley.

A lovely interchange between John Swift and Mo Barrow, and the Gambian winger is through on goal... Matthews charges off his line and saves low as he tries to thread in.

A late tackle earns John Swift a yellow card.

First change of the game, and it's Chris Gunter who makes way for Garath McCleary.

A change in the system as Rinomhota comes over to right-back and Swift drops a bit deeper.

On the hour, it's a lightning-quick break by Reading which comes close to getting the opener.  Swift bombs on through the centre and finds Oliveira on the far side, but his curling effort is just too close to the goalkeeper.

Former Royals defender Andrew Taylor gets booked as he leaves a late challenge on Sone Aluko.  Second caution for Bolton.

Gunter gets booked for hand-ball, as a flailing palm handles on the right touchline.

At the other end, Aluko cuts off the right and shoots but it's down the goalkeeper's throat.  Reading getting back into a rhythm.

Terrific stop by Martinez to deny Connell a spectacular goal.  A first-time volley by the midfielder and it's destined for the bottom corner, but the stopper plucks it away well.

Good chance for the Trotters as a half-cleared ball is recycled by Olkowski and punted into the area, but O'Neil's flicked header lands on the roof of the net.

329 Reading supporters have made the midweek trip to Bolton.  A big thank-you to those who have made the journey.

30 seconds after the restart, Yiadom has the first chance off the half as he drives down the left and cuts inside Ameobi, but fires wide of the near post.

Kick-off - John Swift gets the ball rolling after the break.

45 important minutes underway.

The two teams return to the field. We'll be kicking towards out fans this half, who have made the long midweek journey to get behind the boys. Come on URZ!

HALF-TIME | Bolton Wanderers 0-0 Reading

No breakthrough yet.  Reading with the better of the play but both sides have had their chances to get their noses in front.

A really smart turn in the area by Oliveira, spinning to get past his man as Bacuna slots in a low ball.

But the angle is against him and his strike is wayward as he hits with power.

Brilliant overlap from Yiadom to get into the area, and put a ball into the six-yard box - it's half-cleared as far as Aluko, who strikes first time... Taylor's outstretched leg diverts it over the crossbar! A great attempt but not quite the opening goal.

Best opportunity yet for the hosts as the ref deems a challenge on Miazga to be legal, allowing a quick break. But Noone's effort is tame and straight into the arms of Reading stopper Martinez.

Craig Noone goes into a tackle heavily and earns a booking - it's Bacuna that draws the foul on the edge of his own area.

Fantastic low stop by Martinez, getting down to palm away with Donaldson waiting to turn in!  A ball fizzed in from the left bisects the defence and just needed a touch to convert, but it was the Royals debutant who got the all-important touch.

Mo Barrow looking for opportunities to pick a hole in the Bolton defence.

Wow - a tight call, but it's a Royals free-kick on the edge of the box, to the right-hand side.  Bacuna's ball for Oliveira saw the goalkeeper scamper out but he caught the striker... but the ref deems it to have been outside the area. To the naked eye it looked like a nailed-on penalty but the officials disagree.

Swift puts the free-kick into the danger area and Moore heads towards goal, but Donaldson clears off the line, before Bacuna gets under a strike on the spin.

Reading with all of the ball, looking the likelier at the moment - Bolton unable to retain possession for any spell to the ire of the home support.

Oliveira in possession on his debut.

Bacuna again breaks from midfield and sets off an attack.  Swift flicks through to Barrow, who hangs up a cross... it's just taken away from Oliveira, who gets a nasty whack in the process.

He's down for a while but it's just a bump - he'll be fine to play on.

Two good bits of goalkeeping in succession by Martínez, getting down low and bravely on a freezing evening to gather in at the feet of Bolton players in a crowded area.

The ball sits kindly for Jason Lowe to strike for Wanderers, and he fizzes wide.

Fantastic opportunity to go a goal up - but Swift heads wide.

Gunter puts in a deep cross from the right, which Barrow meets on the left and puts into a central area, but as midfielder Swift arrives he guides his header past the post.  Great play and a glorious chance.

Bolton mount their first attack of note as they win possession in the Royals half - Ameobi punts a low ball forward for Donaldson in the centre, but it spills off his toe.  The offside flag had gone up anyway.

Patient stuff from the Royals to work it out of defence - and Bacuna springs an attack as he rolls his marker in midfield.  Driving downfield it's played into Swift but it's taken away in the area.

And then Swift eventually gets a chance to deliver a teasing cross towards Oliveira, but Hobbs glances out for a corner!  Lively Royals start.

Bolton get the game going here in Lancashire.

The Royals will shoot towards the hardy travelling support in the second half.

The teams make their way from the tunnel. Come on URZ!
