19-year-old forward Ben House has agreed to spend the remainder of the 2018-19 season on loan with League Two side, Swindon Town.
A Scotland Under-20 international, House has impressed under Scott Marshall in our Under-23s ranks this season, scoring 11 goals in 16(+3) appearances to date.
That haul has included finishes against Sunderland, Newcastle and Southampton, a brace at Aston Villa and the opener in a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford back in mid-September. House also scored against international opposition last month when our Under-23s undid Feyenoord in the Premier League International Cup at Madejski Stadium.
Former Royals star Noel Hunt is assisting manager Richie Wellens at Swindon and the Robins sit in 14th position in League Two, nine points adrift of a top six spot but 12 points clear of trouble at the bottom of the EFL ladder.
House could make his debut against Sol Campbell’s Macclesfield Town this weekend as Town prepare for a trip to Moss Rose on Saturday.
Everyone at Reading Football Club would like to wish Ben the very best of luck during his loan spell at Swindon, which will run until the end of May 2019.
