December was a relatively quiet month in the FA WSL - but Fara Williams did enough in her two appearances to earn herself a place on the PFA December Player of the Month shortlist!
She helped to make things tick in the heart of midfield in our first fixture, but it was Chelsea who took the points thanks to Ji So-yun's strike in the second half.
However midfielder Williams, on her 100th appearance in the Women's Super League, stole the show with a brace against Liverpool later in the month. Twice the Reds went ahead at Adams Park, but Williams' two levellers earned Reading a share of the spoils.
The first was a free-kick from distance which had too much for the goalkeeper to keep out, while the second was a cracking effort from the best part of 25 yards which in itself was worthy of getting a result.
It's just the second time that the PFA have run a monthly award for the women's game; and it's the second time Fara has been nominated, too.
There'll be stiff competition this month too. Also vying for the award are Chelsea's Magdalena Eriksson, West Ham duo Julia Simic and Gilly Flaherty, and Man City pair Ellie Roebuck and Georgia Stanway.
Voting is open now, and it closes at 8am on Monday 14th January. You can cast your vote for Williams below.
