McNulty signs for Hibernian on loan

Scottish striker heads north of the border to join Easter Road ranks

31 January 2019

Reading Football Club can announce that striker Marc McNulty has made a transfer deadline day loan move to join Scottish Premiership side Hibernian until the end of the season.

The Edinburgh-born forward signed for the Royals from Coventry City in the summer and has scored once in 6(+9) appearances since arriving at Madejski Stadium - last featuring for the first team in a 2-0 defeat against his former club, Sheffield United, at the start of December.

McNulty, who began his career north of the border with Livingston, now returns to his native Scotland for the first time since leaving the Almondvale Stadium in 2014.

Hibs, who currently occupy 7th place in the Scottish top tier, won away at St Mirren on Sunday and McNulty could make his home debut against Aberdeen this weekend.

We would like to wish Marc the best of luck during his loan spell at Easter Road.
