Reading's Under-18s are back in action on Tuesday night, with a tough test in the FA Youth Cup!
Aston Villa U18 vs Reading U18
Tuesday 15th January
FA Youth Cup, Fourth Round
After a full-blooded Third Round tie at Cambridge United, when the young Royals triumphed 3-1 on the night, they earned themselves a trip to Villa Park in the next stage of the FA Youth Cup.
Ryan Williams, Mikele Leigertwood and the scholars will be heading to the 42,000-seat arena to take on an Aston Villa side that overcame Swansea City 4-2 in the last round of the competition.
High-quality goals from Thierry Nevers and Jack Nolan were followed up by a free-kick from Michael Olise to send the Royals through at the Abbey Stadium.
Their fellow U18 Premier League opponents, Villa sit nine points above the Royals in the league table - but all league form is irrelevant in the most important youth football competition in England.
The strongest available line-up will be taking to the turf at a famous ground in English football, one which has played host to plenty of FA Cup Semi-Finals over the years - with another cup match to be added to the list on Tuesday night.
Supporters wishing to back the youngsters at Villa Park are welcome to attend, with Adult tickets costing £4 on the gate on the night, with Concessions for £1.
