Even though there was no fixture this weekend for the Royals, the work didn’t stop. Boss José Gomes had the team put through their paces all week at Hogwood, challenging the players hard ahead of the game against Bolton.

Reading winger Mo Barrow is confident that some tough training sessions will bear fruit when the team visit Bolton Wanderers this Tuesday in a fixture between two teams battling against the drop.
“It’s good to have a bit longer, so we train on the things we need and prepare better for the game,” said Barrow. “We’ve been working hard lately and hopefully we can take that into the game against Bolton.
“This game is very important. “All of the games are important that we have coming as well, but we will go there and give 100% and try to get something out of it.
“Everybody is enjoying how we’ve been playing. The results haven’t quite been there but some of the football we have played has been fantastic, like against Derby in the second half. So hopefully we can turn it around into results.
“We have a lot of the ball now and everybody is involved. We’re working hard on the pitch and trying to improve all the time, so we want to get three points now.
“It’ll be a tough challenge. We want the three points, and so do they. Hopefully we’ll be the ones to get the three points.”
