🔢 Our squad numbers for 2019-20

The provisional numbers which have been allocated for this season are announced

28 July 2019

José Gomes' side will wear the new 2019-20 home kit for the first time this afternoon when they face Chelsea in our final pre-season friendly of the summer.

And each player will be wearing the provisional squad number which they are expected to adopt for the start of the new Sky Bet Championship campaign next weekend.

You voted Andy Rinomhota as your Official Player of the Season in 2018-19 and this year he will switch from 35 to wear number 8 this season.

New signing Michael Morrison takes number 4 and his fellow centre-back, Matt Miazga, will wear number 5 upon his return to the Royals on a season-long loan. Charlie Adam occupies no.26, a number wore with both Blackpool and Liverpool in the Premier League.

Mo Barrow moves from 17 to no.7 - Andy Yiadom has opted to take the number 17 instead. Yakou Méïté will be no.19 this season, while new loanee goalkeeper João Virgínia takes squad number 20.

A number of our Academy graduates also have new numbers on their backs this season; Danny Loader will be #15, Tom McIntyre #16, 17-year-old Michael Olise will take #21 and Teddy Howe has #22. Striker Andrija Novakovich is back in Reading colours after a season on loan in Holland and he will adopt squad number 23.
