José Gomes says he is pleased with how his players are absorbing his ideas in Spain, trying to correct their mistakes from previous games.
While their opposition on the night, Gibraltar United, were unable to properly threaten the Royals in a 10-0 win for Gomes' side, the boss was happy with what he saw on a technical level on the night.
"I saw very good things, some things which have improved a lot," the manager said after the match.
"We cannot hide the opponents' level, but they did well. The players showed that they wanted to improve the mistakes they made in the previous game.
"After the number of training sessions that we did, they were tired but we trained this morning.
"I am happy with their work, we'll see a tougher challenge on Saturday against Sevilla - a Champions League team, they are building a really strong squad.
"When you play against strong teams, if you make a mistake then, with the quailty of their players, they will use the mistake.
"This will be the kind of game where we need to do everything almost perfectly if you want to get a good result.
"I'm really confident they will show good things, but the quality of the Sevilla squad is very high.
"The most important thing for me right now is not the result. We always want to win, but more important than that is to see during the games that they're trying to make the transfer between the things we did in training and what they can do in games."
