Due to a large number of ticket sales over the weekend, we are now expecting a crowd which could exceed 20,000 supporters for today’s game against Chelsea. Our Ticket Office is dealing with a huge amount of on-the-day collections which is now over 3,000 tickets.
This is over four times the usual amount of collections for a league fixture, in part because Season Ticket holders are being issued with paper tickets for the game.
Therefore as of 11am on matchday, a queue is out the door of the Ticket Office for sales and collections.
Please note that from 1pm, the following will now happen:
- The Main Ticket Office (next to the Fanstore) will be ticket collections only – all sales from 1pm will be from the East Stand Ticket Office
- The East Stand Ticket Office will be for home sales only (no away end tickets available)
- The Main Ticket Office will be unable to deal with any other requests from 1pm other than collections or sales for the Chelsea game. Any purchases/queries for Season Tickets and future games will not be possible
- The Ticket Office phone line will close at 1pm (an hour earlier than normal matchdays to allow the Ticket Office to staff available windows)
Once again, we urge all supporters to arrive as early as possible in order to avoid lengthy queuing – preferably we would advise trying to arrive up to two hours before kick-off. Supporters arriving later risk missing the start of the match, owing to the large number of collections.
