New loan signing, João Virgínia has discussed his move to the Royals, having signed for the club on a season-long loan from Everton.
The young Portuguese goalkeeper put pen to paper on terms to join the Royals, and flew straight out to the club's pre-season training base in Estepona.
He will link up with his new teammates straight away, and will play a part in the club's pre-season schedule over in Spain.
Speaking after arriving at the team hotel, Virgínia said: "It's a pleasure to be a part of such a historical club, I'm so happy and thrilled to be here.
"The manager and I spoke before, he trusts in me and he convinced me to come here. I can't wait to get started.
"I don't think my age counts because, if you see me play, you won't recognise my age. When you see the quality and the work I put into my game, that's all that matters.
"As a keeper, you need to be confident, to be worthy of the trust of your teammates. That's what I'll bring to the team. I'm up to the challenge.
"The move was quite quick. When I heard that Reading wanted me, I was so happy and I wanted to come straight away.
"I can't wait to get started, I can't wait to meet the boys and get my first impression. It's good to have plenty of games in pre-season, get to know the team and make a strong group."
