Michael Olise spoke of his excitement to sign his first professional deal with the Royals, after committing his future to the club until 2022.
The 17-year-old made his senior debut back in March, becoming the 51st player from our Academy ranks to play first team football.
He'll still qualify as a second-year scholar next season, but he said his aim is to try and add to his senior experience in the upcoming campaign.
"It feels great to finally sign, I'm excited," he said of his new contract.
"It was a good challenge last season, and I want to keep pushing on for this season now - keep the hard work going and see what happens.
"It feels great that the manager has confidence in me, it helps a lot for my confidence too.
"My hope in this time is to really show everyone my ability with the team, hoping we do well too."
Olise is one of 14 players to come from our Academy ranks representing the club in Spain on their pre-season training camp at the moment, and he's enjoying the environment he's in currently.
Every player on tour has also been given the chance to impress in friendlies so far, and the attacker is hoping to stake his claim for the new season ahead.
"It's good to be out here with my friends, people I play with day in, day out, and for everyone to be on tour together is a good feeling," he continued.
"The matches have been good, they've been a challenge. We beat Gibraltar 10-0 so that was a good win, and Sevilla was more of a difficult game. A great team, and it was a very good experience to play.
"It was good to see the fans come out and enjoy it, we just hope to give back to the fans when we play."
