Royals return to training

Pre-season preparations get underway at Hogwood

1 July 2019

Reading's first team are officially back in training ahead of the 2019-20 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The team, kitted out in their Macron pre-season training kit, returned to Hogwood on Monday morning to start an intense July schedule.

A behind-closed-doors friendly against Southend United on Saturday will start their match preparations, before the squad head to Spain for a two-week training camp on Sunday.

This week will see the squad run through their paces as they get ready for the rigours of the Sky Bet Championship once again.

A big bonus for the Royals is seeing Jordan Obita back on the grass as he continues his recovery from an injury that has kept him out for almost two calendar years. He will be hoping to continue his progress in his quest to regain fitness for the new season.
