Trials for Royals Deaf team take place this Saturday

Your chance to represent Reading

23 July 2019

Reading FC Community Trust will be hosting trials this Saturday for places on its multi-title-winning Reading FC Deaf team, which competes in various disability leagues.

Our representative side, who are sponsored and supported by Total Communication and Supporters' Trust at Reading, lifted loads of silverware last season.

The England Deaf South League came to its conclusion in April with our team coming out on top, achieving 27 points from a possible 30 available. Then came a FA People’s Cup (Adult Male Premiership) trophy at St George's Park, and the EDF League Championship and England Deaf South League Cup all followed.

Now they are recruiting new members of all abilities ahead of the start of their 2019-20 season.

It is a fantastic way of getting involved in competitive disability football, and with the support of Total Communication - who provide interpreters at games and training sessions - the coaches' messages come across loud and clear.

The details for the trial day are as follows:

Date: Saturday 27thJuly 2019
Time: 11am-12:30pm
Venue: Ryeish Green Sports Hub, Hyde End Road, Ryeish Green, Berkshire, RG7 1ER
