Adaptive athlete inspires at Network Royals event

Jamie Gane gives speech at sold-out networking lunch

26 June 2019

The third instalment of the Network Royals Business Club was another rip-roaring success, having sold out once again for their Networking Lunch at Madejski Stadium recently.

In all, more than 70 businesses from across Berkshire and the local area were in attendance as adaptive athlete, Jamie Gane told his story.

Having developed a chronic pain condition, Gane made the difficult and life-changing decision to have a below-knee amputation.

Since then, however, after getting used to his prosthesis, long-time sportsman Jamie returned to competitive sport and now competes internationally at judo for Great Britain.

Alongside his exploits in the dojo, Gane is also a Tough Mudder Ambassador - taking part in dozens of the popular endurance events every year - completing 39 in 2018 alone, alongside the World's Toughest Endurance Race over in America.
