Josh Barrett and Michael Olise will return home from the Maurice Revello Tournament in Toulon, having played their final matches in France.
Both Royals made appearances off the bench in their final matches, with the Republic of Ireland's Under-21s falling to a 2-0 defeat against Brazil U22s.
Olise, meanwhile, was an unused substitute as France U18s were unable to overcome Portugal's Under-19s - with Les Bleuets finishing the 5th place play-off in a 3-0 loss.
For Barrett and the Ireland squad, a 15th-minute opener from 18-year-old Brazilian, Paulinho put their opponents in front, before Matheus Cunha doubled the advantage two minutes after the interval.
The Reading winger was introduced six minutes from time to try and make a quick impact, but it was Brazil who booked their place in the final in Toulon.
As for France, their defeat to Portugal came as a result of three quick-fire goals in the first half-hour of the match. From there, the Portuguese were able to control proceedings as they earned 5th place in the tournament.
It will have been an extremely valuable experience for both young Royals as they gained experience of international football this summer, along with Danny Loader for England U20s.
Barrett has one last chance to impress in Toulon, taking on Mexico U22 on Saturday lunchtime (12.30pm) in the third-place play-off.
Following Saturday, both players will now enjoy a well-earned break before returning to pre-season training with the Royals, as they look to build on a strong end to the campaign that saw both players break through into the first team setup.
