The 2019-20 fixture schedule has landed, and the season is now mapped out for the Royals in the highly-anticipated return of Sky Bet Championship football.
First up for José Gomes and his side - Sheffield Wednesday will be coming to Madejski Stadium, scheduled for Saturday 3rd August as the season gets underway.
After a tough start to last season for the Owls, the arrival of Steve Bruce heralded a resurgent second half of the campaign - losing just three times in their final 21 matches as the Hillsborough outfit secured a comfortable 12th-placed finish.
Bruce's men will be hoping that the summer break hasn't dimmed the momentum with which they finished the last campaign, while the Royals will go in search of three points that would start the season in bright fashion.
Our first away day, meanwhile, is one of the longest of the season - we'll be making the journey to Hull City on Saturday 10th August, before our First Round tie in the Carabao Cup in midweek. We'll be finding out our opening opponents in the League Cup on Thursday evening.
International weekends are scheduled for September, October, November and March in breaks in league action, while a trip to Blackburn at the end of April will host Royals supporters and their countless inflatables.
As it stands, the campaign will round off in RG2 against Swansea City on Saturday 2nd May - all fixtures are subject to change.
Supporters are reminded that Season Tickets are on sale now and can be bought here - and renewal prices are available until 2nd July for fans who had Season Tickets in our previous campaign.
Keep your eyes on our news feed for information about individual match tickets for our Championship matches and our pre-season game against Chelsea, which are due to go on sale in early July.
