Charity red kit sold out

Limited edition shirts fly off the shelves - club working on resolving an external supplier technical issues which affected online sales

1 March 2019

Our limited-edition red shirts, sold in support of this year’s Red Nose Day campaign, sold out within hours of going on sale.

The incredible level of demand received from our fans, both in-store and online, was hugely appreciated; however also naturally leaves many supporters disappointed for those who have been unable to purchase.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this charitable venture in aid of Comic Relief.

Our sincere apologies to any supporters who experienced technical difficulties when trying to buy online at the point of shirts going on sale at 9am, and who were subsequently unable to complete their transaction.

Technical issues were communicated by our external online retail partner at a very early stage, however the service provided was not good enough. They will continue to resolve those problems and any outstanding queries with online purchases of this product as a matter of priority.

While these issues with online orders are rectified, we politely ask all supporters who ordered online and chose to 'click and collect' their purchases today to refrain from visiting the Megastore on Saturday - as London Irish play host to London Scottish at Madejski Stadium. The Click and Collect service will not be available to supporters this weekend.

Any queries relating to online transactions should continue to be directed to merchandise@readingfc.co.uk and our Megastore will provide individual responses to those affected as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and support.

This year’s Red Nose Day event takes place on Friday 15th March and will be broadcast on BBC One. Supporters wishing to make a contribution to help their work around the world and in the UK can head to donation.comicrelief.com to make donations.
