Reading goalkeeper George Legg brought broad smiles to young faces over the half-term break, as he spent the afternoon getting involved in one of the Soccer Schools run by Reading FC Community Trust.
The 22-year-old stopper made his way to Henwick Playing Fields to join in with one of our-ever popular Soccer School sessions – his appearance the highlight of the week for the young football fanatics.
The Soccer School ran all week in Henwick, with a goalkeepers-only sessions also running on the Thursday and Friday. So having a goalie along was a fantastic experience for those aspiring shot-stoppers to learn a bit more about the trade from a pro.
Our Soccer Schools run every half-term around Reading, Berkshire and the Thames Valley area – and every so often the appearance of a Royals star adds something extra to the day.
Thanks to all who attended over the recent school break, and you can can bookmark our Soccer Schools page to find the latest dates when they’re announced – including our upcoming Easter courses.
