Callum Harriott has called on the Royals to take the game to Preston on Saturday afternoon as Reading prepare for the first of their remaining eight games of the season.
The Lilywhites are impressively unbeaten in their last 12 games and are only a place outside the play-off places, but Harriott believes that the Royals’ home advantage could have a big part to play.
“We’re at home this weekend, so let’s take the game to them,” Harriott explained.
“We know the players that we’ve got and what they are capable of. Preston is the next opportunity to showcase this.
With eight games of the Sky Bet Championship remaining, optimism amongst the squad remains high and Harriott has highlighted how the mood around the team is always positive.
Of late, the Royals have lost just two of their last 10 games and Harriott says that taking the positives out of their recent form will be vital as the team plot to secure their second tier status for next season.
Harriott went on to say: “Every game is a tough test in the Championship, but the main thing is that we need to take the positives out of the past few games and most recently, Stoke.
“I enjoy training every day, regardless of the importance of the week coming up. Preparation for every game always remains the same.
“Our form of late has been good, but we need to get three points more often. If we take our training into the game, then will give ourselves every chance of getting that.”
