Tony Harrington will control proceedings as Preston North End make the trip to RG2 on Saturday afternoon.
The Cleveland official will be overseeing his second Reading game of the season, having previously took charge at St. Andrew's Stadium when Birmingham were hosts in a 2-1 defeat for the Royals last October.
Harrington isn't afraid to brandish a card or two either, as Sheffield United's Gary Madine found out to his peril when he saw red for a challenge in their match against Brentford earlier this month.
It was the referee's third red card he's awarded so far this season, something that Saturday's opponents will be very familiar with as Ryan Ledson was given his marching orders for Preston in their game against Leeds last August.
He averages around four yellow cards per game in his 27 that he's taken charge of this season, 22 of those coming in the Championship.
Mr Harrington will be assisted on the afternoon by Geoffrey Russell and Daniel Leach, with Andy Davies on the touchline as the fourth official.
