Signed and worn red shirts go under the hammer for Red Nose Day

10 days to bid; 27 shirts available for auction

15 March 2019

On Red Nose Day – 15th March 2019 – the Royals trained in our limited-edition charity red kit, with their names and numbers on the back. And those worn shirts have been signed and put up for auction on eBay, with proceeds going directly to Comic Relief.

A total of 27 shirts are up for grabs. They were worn out on the training pitches (or in the gym, for those doing recovery and rehab), before their signatures were added to make for a truly unique item, available to Royals supporters to bid on.

Sales of the shirts from our Megastore have already raised thousands of pounds for Comic Relief – supporting vulnerable people and communities in the UK and internationally.

All money raised for Comic Relief goes to benevolent causes. £10 can pay for a mentoring session for a homeless young person in the UK. £25 could pay for 100 nutritious meals for a school breakfast club to ensure that children have energy to learn and play. £50 can deliver over 160 tests to quickly diagnose people with malaria, and £150 can help to deliver six specialist trauma counselling sessions for refugees in the UK.

Just a few examples of where the funds go and why their work is important. We hope that the sales of these unique shirts will raise hundreds for a wonderful cause and that our supporters will be generous with their bids.

The auctions are due to end a little after lunchtime on Monday 25th March, so get bidding on your favourite players today.
