Reading FC Women defender, Sophie Howard has been named in Scotland's squad for their first ever appearance at the Women's World Cup this summer.
Howard, who joined the Royals from German side, Hoffenheim at the start of the season, has made it into the 23-player squad named by Shelley Kerr on Wednesday, with the tournament a matter of weeks away.
The 25-year-old has been capped 13 times by her country to date, and she will travel with her teammates to France to prepare for the group stages.
And Howard could be up against a Reading clubmate in Scotland's first tie, as they get underway against Jade Moore and England on Sunday 9th June in Nice (5pm kick-off).
Argentina and Japan also await England and Scotland in Group D, as the Scots aim to get through to the knockout stages at their first attempt at winning the World Cup.
Congratulations to Sophie on this fantastic achievement, and we will be tracking her progress in France as the tournament comes around.
