Moore called up to World Cup squad

Lionesses unveiled for crack at ultimate prize

8 May 2019

There will be Royal representation at this summer's Women's World Cup, with Jade Moore making the 23-player squad for the Lionesses.

Phil Neville has today named his squad for the summer's tournament and Royals midfielder Moore has secured a place on the plane to France.

Moore has represented England throughout the youth age groups and played in both the 2008 and 2010 FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup. Moore won her first senior international cap in February 2012, playing all 90 minutes of England's 3–1 Cyprus Cup win over Finland.

In May 2015, Mark Sampson named Moore in his final squad for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team finished third and collected a bronze medal.

Moore was named in a third consecutive major tournament finals squad when Sampson selected her for UEFA Women's Euro 2017. Former Royals, Fran Kirby and Mary Earps have also made the cut and will be part of the England squad this summer, while Steph Houghton will captain the side.

Before Neville and his squad head out to France, they will warm up with two friendlies:

Saturday 25th May (1pm): England v Denmark – Banks’s Stadium, Walsall FC
Saturday 1st June (1pm): England v New Zealand – AMEX Stadium, Brighton & Hove Albion FC
