Season Tickets 2019-20 | Join us for the brand new challenge ahead

Next season’s seats to go on sale from 9am on Monday 20th May 2019

7 May 2019

As so often emphasised by José Gomes, we are a family. And our family has built a bond that will not be broken. We are One Reading.

When times are tough, families stick together. We live to fight for Championship honours once more next season, thanks in no small part to your magnificent support.

Now we need your support once more as Reading Football Club embarks upon a brand new challenge.

Season Tickets for 2019-20 will go on sale at the start of a renewal period which will commence at 9am on Monday 20th May 2019.

And Adult, 65 & Over, 18-24, 17 & Under and 12 & Under prices have all been frozen or, in some cases, lowered throughout all four stands; a full table of prices can be found here.

Following an unprecedented level of interest since its supporter-initiated inception a little more than a year ago, we are delighted to announce that Club 1871 is very much here to stay. And in the South Stand next season, we are offering our cheapest Adult Season Ticket.

So many have made the move over to the South Stand to join the growing group on matchdays in recent months, and now you can have a permanent spot there; our cheapest Adult Season Ticket for 2019-20 will be priced at just £299 - exactly £13 per match.

We have made one alteration to age brackets for next season, removing our 7 & Under age band due to a very limited and very inconsistent uptake from our youngest followers - who understandably can’t make many of the midweek matches and therefore commit to every matchday at the Madejski.

However, this club remains intent on attracting the fans of tomorrow to Madejski Stadium and we have retained the ’12 & Under’ age category we introduced in 2018-19 to offer a Season Ticket for an unbelievable price of just £23.

Yes, any Royals fan yet to reach their teens can watch every home league match for £1 per game from the Family Area of the Eamonn Dolan Stand.

Teenagers falling into the 17 & Under age bracket will continue to pay as little as £2.57 per match in forking out a mere £59 for a Season Ticket in the same stand next season.

Then, for those a little older and entering into further education or employment, 18-24 year-olds can pay just £130 for the full season at the Madejski - no matter whether you choose to spend it in the Lower West, East, Eamonn Dolan Stand or join Club 1871.

At the other end of the age scale, supporters who are due to turn 65 during the course of the 2019-20 season, will be able to renew at a concessionary price in advance of their 65th birthday - an early birthday present for all who are due to celebrate the milestone at any time between now and the end of May 2020.

The club have also taken the opportunity to lower prices for Adults and those aged 65 and Over in the Upper West for 2019-20, reducing the cost of our most expensive Season Ticket by up to £50.

So as a reminder, a renewal period for Season Tickets for 2019-20 will begin at 9am on Monday 20th May 2019. The full list of renewal and new purchase prices can be found here.

But there’s more…

A brand new season, a brand new online system

New online Ticketing and Fanstore service launching for 2019-20

7 May 2019

At Reading Football Club we listen and learn from our supporters. And we shared some of your frustrations with the limitations of our existing online system, understanding the barriers fans have faced when trying to purchase tickets and merchandise online. Those concerns have been heard and acted upon.

The club is set to launch new online platforms for our Ticket Office and rebranded ‘Fan Store’, offering a new and improved service which will improve the user-experience for our fans. It will  be easier than ever to browse and buy Season Tickets, match tickets and merchandise on all devices, wherever you are in the world.

This new platform will launch (initially for ticketing only ahead of the on sale and renewals date for Season Tickets) on Thursday 16th May and you can find all you need to know about the new system, the processes which will make your life as Royals fans much easier, and how you can take full advantage of your new ‘Royals Account’ by clicking here.

You have until 5pm on Tuesday 2nd July to renew your Season Ticket at the best possible price and reserve your seat for 2019-20 - so don't miss that deadline.

If a seat is not reserved, supporters will be able to move to it at any time during the course of the season. And any seats not reserved by the renewal deadline will become available for others to purchase or move into.

There will be a designated Movers Period, commencing from Thursday 4th July, which we will advertise again closer to the deadline for Season Ticket renewals.

Not only is a seat guaranteed for every home league game, but it will always be the cheapest way to follow the fortunes of your club.

Even if you take up the occasional promotional offer during a ticket drive for a big game or a midweek fixture that needs added support, Season Ticket holders are promised the best value across the course of the campaign.

As a Season Ticket Holder, you automatically receive additional perks and discounts - discounts on stadium tours, cheaper upgrades to hospitality, priority for potential glamour cup ties or high demand away trips across the course of the campaign…not to mention more than 250 Loyalty Points accrued to your account to ensure your commitment to the club is royally recognised going forward.

Yes, it is.

Our previous credit supplier, Zebra Finance, who have been partnering with a large number of clubs across the country, has seen its funding ceased which has meant football fans across the country will not be able to apply for payment plan options with Zebra going forward.

As a club, we appreciate that spreading the cost of a Season Ticket is an important option for a number of our supporters. So, we have found a solution

For 2019-20, the club will be partnering with V12 to offer a 0% finance option, subsidised by the club to enable supporters to pay across four monthly instalments (valid for loans of £299 or more and subject to credit acceptance).

Reading Football Club will also pay our fans’ administration costs with this deal; the club subsidised this last season to reduce supporters’ admin fee costs from £15 to £5, but in 2019-20 the club will waive the admin fee altogether. And there will also be no introduction of an interest rate (previously 6.5%) via a longer-term deal.

If you want to take advantage of this Finance Option, please speak with the Ticket Office when you choose to sign up to renew or purchase your Season Ticket.

Yes, we will.

Four years ago, Reading Football Club opted to lead the way with a new policy on away ticket prices...guaranteeing that all supporters, both home and away, would have the opportunity to buy Madejski Stadium matchday tickets that cost no more than £20.

Many have followed our lead and we will continue to fight the good fight. So as we prepare for the 2019-20 campaign, that commitment to 'Twenty’s Plenty’ remains.

Affordable football at Madejski Stadium is important to us so, for the fourth successive season, travelling adult fans who are Season Ticket holders or Members at their respective clubs, will be able to come and watch their team take on José Gomes’ men for just £20.

Matchday ticket prices for 2019-20 will be announced at a later date, but it is important to stress that our home adult supporters will also be able to purchase matchday tickets for just £20, ensuring that we are directly rewarding Reading supporters with the same ‘Twenty’s Plenty’ promise. In fact, in order for us to cap the cost of a £20 matchday ticket in the South Stand next season, something we want to do to keep Club 1871 affordable, we are obliged to charge visiting supporters in the same stand the same price due to EFL rules. So our ‘Twenty’s Plenty’ is benefitting home and away supporters.

It is also worth emphasising at this stage that, if you purchase a Season Ticket - in any age band, renewal price or new purchaser, in any of the four stands (including the Upper West) - the price you will pay per game will be less than that £20 cap. So becoming a Season Ticket Holder offers our fans the very best value for money.

All Season Ticket Holders aged 18 and over will receive a new card for next season.

However, all Club 1871 Season Ticket Holders - regardless of age - will receive an exclusive Club 1871-branded card.

All new cards and renewed parking permits will be posted to supporters before the end of July.

Car parking renewals for Madejski Stadium can be done at the same time as renewing your Season Ticket. And the same renewal deadline of Tuesday 2nd July will apply.

You will be able to renew online using the new system.
