Ovie Ejaria spoke of the importance of getting three more points on the board at the weekend, after overcoming Luton Town with a 3-0 win at Madejski Stadium.
The Royals made it three home wins in a row, and 10 points from a possible 12 under Mark Bowen with a well-earned win at the weekend, with Ejaria notching Reading's second goal with a fine effort into the bottom corner.
Michael Morrison headed in from a corner to put Reading ahead midway through the first half, before Ejaria's strike doubled the advantage before the break.
Garath McCleary came off the bench and put gloss on the win by slotting in 10 minutes from time, as the Royals climbed to 17th in the Championship table and continued their good run of form.
“It was important to get the three points today, we wanted to go into the international break on a positive, and I’m really happy that we did that," Ejaria said after the match.
“In this league, back-to-back wins gets you up the table and that was really important for us. You can see the intensity in training – we’re working harder and everyone’s happy right now.
“We’ve had some tough games, some in midweek and then the weekend, sometimes two or three games in a week.
“It’s good to have a break now, but we have to focus and be prepared for Brentford. We’ve got to stay humble and focus on the next game and give 100%.
“As you know, no game in this league is easy so we have to be ready.”
The Royals' trip to Griffin Park is set to take place on Saturday 23rd November, and tickets will be going on sale to Reading fans this Monday at 9am. Click here for further information.
