Royals Under-23 duo Ben House and Ramarni Medford-Smith have both today agreed loan moves to Dagenham & Redbridge and Torquay United respectively.
Both players’ stints will run until New Year’s Day, potentially offering as many as nine appearances during a jam-packed National League schedule during the festive months.
With no international break for teams below Championship level, House could potentially debut for the 15th-placed Daggers this weekend when they host Aldershot.
For the striker, who recently returned to U23 action for the Royals after a spell on the sidelines with injury, it will be his second loan stint away from the club after spending part of last season with Swindon Town in League Two.
Left-back Medford-Smith, who has played nine times for our Under-23s so far in 2019-20 also spent a stint away from Reading last term with Wealdstone in the National League South.
His Gulls debut could come on Saturday against Sutton United – the Devon side currently lie 5th in the table, while their visitors occupy a relegation place.
The duo narrowly miss out on the chance to face each other in competitive action, as Torquay travel to Dagenham on January 4th – three days after their loan spells are due to expire.
All at Reading wish the very best of luck to Ben and Ramarni for their loan spells.
