Royals defender Michael Morrison spoke on his elation for players like Sam Baldock and Garath McCleary, whose professionalism and attitude in the camp have merited their return to first-team affairs and the goals which have followed.
Garath McCleary came off the bench on Saturday to score the third and finish off the game against Luton, much to the delight of the whole team - who rushed to celebrate with the goalscorer.
Michael Morrison spoke of McCleary, and his determination and impact to get back into the fold with the Royals.
"He’s a good professional," Michael stated. "He is setting standards every day. Garath is someone the younger players can look up too. It’s difficult when you’re out of the team and not even training with the team. All that hard work has come through."
Michael praised the professionalism shown by McCleary, but also Baldock who was in a similar situation.
"Sam Baldock is another perfect example of working hard for yourself and being professional, and when you get your chance, taking it," Michael continued. "It’s good to have some really good young players, and we have got that talent.
"It’s about showing them that professionalism and how hard they must work and maintain to get that career in football. Just because you’re in and around the team, doesn’t mean you’re going to make it, and everything is going to be wonderful.
"It takes hard work every day, Sam and G-Mac are perfect examples of how hard you have to work."
