Jordan Obita spoke of the strength of the Reading squad at the moment, after fighting tooth-and-nail to hold on to all three points against Millwall on Saturday.
The left-back believed that opposition teams could have thought previously that Reading had a 'soft' touch about them, but the team are doing all they can to change that opinion of the Royals - exemplified by the squad's performance at Madejski Stadium over the weekend.
Our Academy graduate got on the scoresheet with a fine strike from the edge of the area at the weekend, with Sam Baldock adding a wonderstrike from outside the box to give Reading all three points on the day.
With one more match before the November international break, Obita hopes to keep up the momentum as Reading look to build on a run of seven points from a possible nine.
"Most people would probably think that Reading are more of a soft side, but we're showing now how strong we are," Obita declared.
"We have so much quality in the side, and in days like Saturday it shows that when we get the ball down and play as well, we can show our qualities.
"Everyone can see that we're mixing it up. There are times when we can't play and we put it long, but we've got the players up front who are wanting to run in behind.
"Then, when they do back off, we start to show our quality and and play out from the back. It's good that we can do both things.
"It would have been nice to have a game on Tuesday but we've got more time to prepare for Luton, and hopefully we can get a positive result."
