Ethan Bristow pens professional contract until 2021

Young defender agrees to pro terms that will keep him at the Madejski for the next two years

4 October 2019

Reading Football Club are pleased to announce that 17-year-old Ethan Bristow has agreed to a professional deal as a Royal, completing paperwork on his first professional contract to commit his future to the club until 2021.

Still in the second year of his scholarship, Bristow represented our Under-23s twice last season and continues to impress in 2019-20.

He has featured four times for our Under-18s so far this season, scoring once in a 1-1 draw with Leicester City in August.

And the left-sided 17-year-old defender earned his first Under-23s minutes in a 5-0 thrashing of Swansea City the following month - coming off the bench to replace Adam Liddle at the Madejski in mid-September.

With his future now committed to Reading, Bristow will continue to feature at both age levels in blue and white hoops. Congratulations, Ethan!
