Disappointment last time out. But it’s a long season. And plenty more points to play for.
The next opportunity comes this weekend at Ashton Gate, against a Bristol City side who lie in seventh at time of writing; it’s our final game before the second international break of the season.
Skipper Liam Moore knows that there’s nothing to be done except put in hard work, and try to turn fortunes around this Saturday.
“It’s a tough place to go,” said Moore. “But you can’t feel sorry for yourself. You’ve got to dust yourself down, and after a couple of recovery days, we have to go again. We have to be at it.
“You need to have a strong head in this game. You can’t afford to feel sorry for yourself at all.
“We have to be up for up for it, give everything, and hopefully our luck changes.
“Let’s try and get three points on the board before the international break. Then when we come back, we’ll do it game by game. It has been a while since we’ve been on a run, but we can’t think about that yet – we have to think about winning individual games and this is the next one.”
