Earlier this year, Social Inclusion manager and vital cog to the Reading FC Community Trust, Richard Witt, was nominated for the 'Employee of the Year' in this year's Pride of Reading awards - which are due to take place on Friday 8th November at Madejski Stadium.

Richard’s work in the Trust’s Social Inclusion department has seen him help countless young people in Reading and the surrounding area, offering his support to anyone who needs him.

And further to that, his background is nothing short of inspiring. Richard joined Reading FC at the age of eight, through the Academy as a player.

But it is his work at our Community Trust - Richard's ongoing support off the field - which has changed the lives of numerous young people, earning him a Pride of Reading Award nomination in the Employee of the Year category for his efforts.

The Employee of the Year Award is sponsored by Reading Buses and is open to all employees in Reading, Berkshire.

Watch the video to find out more about Richard's hard work, and why fellow colleague Jay Gilbert nominated him for the award.
