The Madejski Stadium will be the setting this Sunday, as Reading FC Women host Lewes in the Continental Cup, with Reading FC Season ticket holders entitled to free entry to the game.
Reading FC Women v Lewes Women
Sunday 20th October, 2pm
Less than 24 hours after the men's team take on Preston North End, we'll be delighted to open our doors once again to our supporters as our women's team look for another win in their second group game in this year's cup competition.
Kelly Chambers’ side are currently flying high, coming off some impressive victories including an away win against Liverpool in the opening weekend of the Women’s Super League, a 4-0 thrashing of Tottenham and a victory last weekend in a 5-goal thriller against Everton.
The Continental Cup clash against Lewes is the first of four fixtures that Royals Women are scheduled to play at the Madejski. Other previously announced fixtures are Bristol City's visit on Sunday 17th November during the inaugural 'FA Women’s Football Weekend' and Crystal Palace coming to town a few days later on Thursday 21st November. A fourth Madejski fixture has also been added, as West Ham Women visit RG2 on November 3rd in the Continental Cup.
Reading FC Season Ticket holders will be able to attend the game on Sunday for free to cheer on our women’s side, who have already made a strong start to their Continental Cup Campaign with a 4-0 away win against Tottenham Women last month.
“It’s always a big game when we’re at the Madejski,” manager Kelly Chambers said. “It’s as important as a league game because the girls have goals of getting to cup finals. Let’s get a good crowd there and put on another great performance.”
Season Ticket holders can enter for free by bringing their card to the game. All other tickets can be purchased here.
