Sam Baldock shone light on the importance of showing fight and knuckling down ahead of Nottingham Forest on Saturday in the Sky Bet Championship.
On his first league start of the season for the Royals, Sam Baldock netted the second equaliser of the night - in a highly entertaining draw at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium - against high-flying Queens Park Rangers.
Next on the calendar, is an arduous journey The City Ground to face another team in-form; Nottingham Forest.
Unbeaten in September and four points out of a possible 12 in October, Forest have had a mixture of results, placing themselves in 8th on the table. They are sure to provide another test for the Royals this weekend.
“This is the Championship," Sam stated. "There is quality throughout, so you have to show fight every week.
“It's another away Championship game, so it’ll be tough. Forest have started the season really well. It’s going to be interesting, we’ll knuckle down and get to know what they’re all about.
"I’m here to contribute and drive the team upwards, there’s no point in making the numbers."
