Our brand new training facility reached another milestone on Sunday when we opened the gates to some of the younger age groups within our Academy for a competitive set of fixtures against Tottenham Hotspur.
With the changing rooms now up and running, our esteemed Academy were able to host the start of our Under-9 - Under-15s games programme at the state-of-the-art Bearwood Park site.
It was a sunny start to Sunday as stewards directed parents, scouts, staff and the players themselves as everyone began to enjoy and acclimatise to a very new environment to watch some of our stars of the future against Spurs.

And, importantly, it was a Reading player who scored the first ever goal at Bearwood Park - Diyan Sangha finding the back of the net inside the first minute of competitive football at the facility - breaking the deadlock in the Under-10s encounter.
The clouds came and rain fell, but there was no dampening of spirits on what was another magnificent milestone for #ProjectBearwood.
